Collison steals the limelight in action packed weekend of football.
Heacham FC returned from their long trip to Hadleigh United on Saturday with a well earned point in a toughly contested 0-0 draw. The Magpies remain in 14th place in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division, seven points above the drop zone.
Heacham FC U18’s briefly topped the Thurlow Nunn Youth League last week, before games went against them. They travel to Aylsham FC U18’s on Thursday.
In Division One of the Anglian Combination League, Dersingham Rovers kept their promotion push on track with an easy 6-1 win over lowly East Harling FC. Joe Collison ran riot with five goals, Scott Sutherland-Gray also notched.
In Division Three, Ingoldisthorpe FC lost a key match at home to Gayton 3-2, despite leading 1-0. They remain in the relegation places.
In Division Four, Heacham Reserves are up to 3rd after a convincing 5-0 win against local rivals Dersingham Rovers Reserves. Braces from Alfie Buhlemann and Taylor Reece and a goal from Ryan Mellor doing the damage.
In the County Intermediate Cup both Dersingham Rovers ‘A’ and Ingoldisthorpe Reserves lost, despite leading in their games. Dersingham lost 5-4 at home to Norton Athletic Reserves whilst Ingoldisthorpe Reserves were beaten 3-2 by Watlington FC Reserves.
In Division Two of the North West Norfolk League, Heacham Minors Development FC are up to 4th with an impressive 5-3 win at West Lynn Reserves. FC St. Edmunds Hunstanton, however, remain in the relegation places after a 5-1 reverse at Watlington FC ‘A’. Alfie Penn scoring a consolation.
