Flying high at Holkham Country Fair

Celebrating all things countryside was the Holkham Country Fair, a two-day extravaganza on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July.
With the backdrop of the stunning Holkham Estate the weekend was a guaranteed hit with an abundance of entertainment on offer, showground events and trade stands to cater to a wide variety of tastes.
2019 was the year of celebrating land, sea and sky with demonstrations in pole lathing, blacksmith’s crafts, willow weaving and bee-keeping. The sky was truly the limit when The Poppy Parachute Team dropping into the arena.
Each palate was catered for with the Fine Food Village offering a variety of tasty treats and the Cookery Demonstration Theatre showcasing the finest in local cooking talent.
The entertainment on offer was sure not to disappoint, with highlights keeping spectators on the edge of their seats with stunt riding from Atkinson Action Horses and headliners Broke FMX wowing the crowds with their freestyle Motorcross.
The Household Cavalry Musical Ride also performed and for animal-lovers there was CJ’s Birds of Prey show and dog racing and agility competitions.
There was a parade of historic cars for vintage car connoisseurs and a dog show so all of the family could get involved. Spectators were also given the opportunity to try clay pigeon shooting, archery, crossbows and air rifles.
