Fledgling Writers' Group is ready to fly

Fledgling Writers' Group is ready to fly
The first session is on 6th December at 2pm

Just one of the initiatives at Hunstanton Library - and there's more...

Hunstanton's Library is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 9am to 7pm and on Saturdays 9am to 4pm and what's important to know is that these days a library isn't just about borrowing books.

The purpose of this article is to tell readers about the events, services and support the library offers.

Library and Information Assistant Liz Rogers said: " Our Warm and Well initiative is going well at Hunstanton Library; we have hot drinks, toiletries, soft blankets and hot water bottles available - free of charge. We also have the Tricky Period items - now including sustainable products!

"Our fledgling Writers' Group is ready to fly!  It will happen once a month on the first Wednesday of the month at 2pm, starting Wednesday 6th December.

"We have Bounce & Rhyme at 10.30am on Wednesdays and Fridays at 10am - lots of fun, singing, stories and bubbles for little ones, plus Lego on Saturdays - every week from 10.30am

"Colour Yourself Calm is on a Tuesday from 4pm – with refreshments – autism-friendly and very relaxing.

"You can now access a new free digital archive from the BFI (British Film Institute) containing 60 years of screen stories from any public computer in any Norfolk Library!

"BFI Replay is the result of one of the UK’s largest mass digitisation programmes. Thousands of digitised videos and television programmes from the BFI National Archive are available to browse and enjoy, research or study – with some familiar and memorable, others rare and unseen for decades.

"You can find out more about the service here: https://www.bfi.org.uk/bfi-replay  and there's an icon on the desktop of any Norfolk Libraries PC."
