Fireworks on Hunstanton's Clifftop to go off with a bang!

Borough council helps light the fuse of Hunstanton Fireworks display.

The event which includes a laser and music show, funfair and stalls, takes place on Saturday 6 November on the Cliff Top in Hunstanton.

Always a fantastic event and organised by Hunstanton round Table the fireworks display is outstanding and this year it is being supported by the Borough Council.

Cllr Stuart Dark, Leader of the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, explained: “This is an event I've attended many times with my family and I know how highly regarded it is by local residents. When we heard that this year’s display was facing additional challenges due to the difficult last 18 months, we felt it was absolutely right to step in and offer assistance. Not only to support this excellent evening but the great west Norfolk charities it supports, who have also had their fund-raising impacted upon by the pandemic.

“The borough council has agreed to underwrite the surplus that would be raised for charity should attendance be slightly lower this year due to the covid situation at the time. I look forward to enjoying this event for many years to come."

This year the prices are: £25 per car (up to 7 people), £10 adults and £5 concessions (over 65 and under 16's). With fireworks and a laser show set to music (the sound track remains a closely guarded secret) together with the Ladies Circle refreshments tent (handy tip - check out the mulled wine) and sideshows it promises to be a night to remember.

Wes Attwell, Chairman of Hunstanton and District Round Table 615, added: “We’re grateful for the support the borough council has offered in this instance and look forward to putting on the best show ever. Gates open at 5, the bonfire will be lit at 6 and the fireworks go off from 7:30. Remember, remember, the sixth of November and put Hunstanton Fireworks display in your diary now.”

Please note that entrance charges must be paid in cash.
