Festival 3 by the Sea Programme for 2019
The HDFA Festival 3 by the Sea programme of Arts events for the summer begins this year in May.
The first item is a creative writing course on the environment with tutor Sue Burge on Wednesday May 8th from 10.30 till 4.30. It costs just £20.00 to take part.
Sue says “together we will examine how to write fresh and original poetry and short fiction on the subject of the environment”.
Next up is a performance of “Gangsta Granny” by Heartbreak Productions on Thursday June 6th. There is just one performance at 6.pm so early booking is a must. This is a fun play adapted from the book by David Walliams and will delight all ages. Tickets cost £7.00 for Adults and £3.50 for children and are available from the Tourist Information Centre in Hunstanton on 01485 532610.or at the gate. Doors open at 5.30.for a performance at 6pm.
This is an open-air show, so wrap up well as it gets cold at night even in the summer and bring low chairs and picnics to enjoy. There will be refreshments available.
There will again be a programme of live pop and rock music by various artists at” The Spinney” at the end of the High Street throughout the summer. This event is free although hat collections would be welcomed by the artists.
The Hunstanton Drama Festival of One Act plays takes place from Friday June 28th till Sunday June 30th this year.
Here you can see 12 different one act plays performed by Drama Groups from all over the Eastern area This is a friendly competition so on Sunday evening there will be an award giving Red Carpet Night where everyone gets to know who won the best actor, best team and best Youth Group awards. There will be a celebration party after in the Sunset Bar.
