Nearly 300 people filled St Mary's on Saturday 13th December.
The Big Light Concert when the magnificent Spire Lights were switched on after a countdown led by the Rector, Dan Tansey, marked the beginning of the Christmas season in Snettisham's beautiful St Mary's church.

Your Choir led by their Musical Director, Mike Tandy, delighted the audience with a wide variety of songs in the first half including favourites including Carol of the Bells and O Holy Night along with the Elvis hit Blue Christmas, You raise me up, Last Christmas and Mama Mia.
During the interval with Andy in charge of the bar, mulled wine (with and without alcohol) and mince pies were the order of the day.

Snettisham's own singer-songwriter Erin Elizaa's soft toned vocals with a sweet sounding acoustic guitar filled the church in the second half with a folk twist to popular songs including White Christmas and Walking in a Winter Wonderland and Have yourself a merry little Christmas along with a very beautiful song many in church hadn't heard before called My Christmas List.
KL1 Radio recorded the concert which will be broadcast on Christmas Eve at 8pm.

Sponsors of the Spire Lights include Kim Cairns Classic Cars, The Rose & Crown, Supreme Carpets, Snettisham Parish Council, Borough Council (via a Community Grant), S&M Builds, Wild Ken Hill and Atelier Associates Architecture + design. There were also individual and anonymous sponsors.
The creator of the magnificent display that will be lit every night over the Christmas season is Matt Hallard who voluntarily designs, installs and oversees the display every year.
