Winter is a difficult time for vulnerable people and those experiencing homelessness in our area.
The Purfleet Trust aims to tackle food poverty at their Health & Wellbeing Centre this Winter by offering breakfasts and lunches every day to vulnerable people in King’s Lynn.
They need the support of the public to achieve this, and they've recently launched the 2024 the Reverse Advent Calendar Appeal which asks people to put aside an item from the calendar each day from 1st to 25th November and donate it to the trust who will use it at their centre or provide to people in temporary accommodation with limited cooking facilities.
"This winter, we’re expecting to be busier than ever at Purfleet as the demand for support grows with more people facing food and fuel poverty," said the Trust's Joy Wylie.
Donations can be dropped off at their warehouse, Purfleet Pathways at
56/57 Bergen Way North Lynn Industrial Estate Kings Lynn PE30 2JG
or any of the following locations between 25th and 28th November:
- General Store, Ringstead
- Town Barber, Hunstanton
