Competition winners announced

From a huge number of entries in Town and Around's competition for the Mediaeval Baebes tickets, David Willing and Jenny Hilton are the winners.

David and Jenny each win a pair of tickets to the concert on 10th December.

Baring aloft their flaming torches, the Mediaeval Baebes will be observing the mediaeval tradition of The Procession. Starting from the Statue Of Queen Victoria, Tuesday Market Place, Kings Lynn at 6.55pm, they will walk down Market Lane and wend their way to St Nicholas Chapel, before commencing a remarkable evening of festive music and entertainment.

With well-known Christmas carols and traditional folk songs being presented alongside tracks from their latest seasonal album MydWynter, the classical chart-topping choir will further captivate the audience with storytelling that uncovers the origins and folklore behind the lyrics too.

David’s entry was:

Hark! the Mediaeval Baebes

Listen to their song

If I am your lucky winner

I could join in with the throng

It sounds like a wondrous night

Vibrant and inviting

Oh, for an experience

that's utterly exciting!

Jenny’s entry read:

Love to join spirited procession, flowing medieval dress on,

Hear angelic harmonies ‘MydWynter’ style: while away

Uncertain times. Magical ‘Mirabilis’ rhymes

Weaving folklories, singing enchanting stories

Chapel acoustics beguile, magical ‘Summerisle’

Changing December night to brilliant torchlight.

With Hope.

Town and Around will be running more competitions over the coming months so keep a lookout for the magazine in supermarkets and local venues.
