Comedian Adam Buxton visits Norfolk foster family
The writer is part of a mini documentary highlighting the need for more foster carers
Before taking part in the documentary, Adam says he didn't 'know anything about fostering or having children in care'.
He met Catherine, a Norfolk library book scheme co-ordinator, her husband Sean and their two children, who have been fostering for six years. Over cups of tea, emptying the dishwasher, Top Trumps, a dog walk and a kick-about in the garden, he asks the kinds of questions people may have when first considering fostering.

When Adam asks Catherine why they foster she gestures around their family home and replies, "We're giving a child a chance."
Catherine admits it can be challenging but that, "You get the smiles and the love and you get the play - and you get to watch them grow up and turn into lovely little humans."
"We’ve got 3 children and a dog at home," Adam says, "And the thought of adding another child or more children into our family life blows my mind.
"What they do, for kids who haven’t asked to be brought into care, amazes me. I’m full of admiration and respect for them and their families."
