Christmas magic in every branch

The West Norfolk Singers provided the entertainment at Hunstanton's Christmas Tree Festival on Saturday morning.

24 beautifully decorated Christmas trees have been put on display in Hunstanton Town Hall.

The town Mayor Cynthia Easeman said: "This year there are three categories (and prizes) in the competition: children, adults and lastly, the Mayor's choice - and that's going to be very difficult."

On Saturday morning visitors to the festival were entertained by the West Norfolk Singers with their Musical Director and pianist Loc-Mai Yuen.

Loc-Mai said: We are a choir of about 25, and our colours are red and black but for this event we are all in our Christmas jumpers.

"We welcome new members - especially altos and men!

The entry from the Princess Theatre was was decorated by Jenny Chapman, no prizes for guessing the theme was Aladdin!

Jenny is one busy lady, here she is far right in the rather splendid gold jacket, along with other volunteers and staff just before the first performance of this season's pantomime this afternoon.

Back at the Town Hall seasonal refreshments were on sale including gingerbread men and mince pies.

The festival runs until tomorrow afternoon and the winners will be announced at 4pm.
