Charity Snowdrop Day

Walsingham Abbey has the most successful Charity Snowdrop Day in its history

Held at the peak of the Abbey’s much-anticipated snowdrop season, the day, to raise funds for local charity Tapping House, saw the historic estate transformed into a wonderful carpet of white.

Across 18 acres of parkland and woodland, snowdrops - one of the cherished first flowers of spring - are in bloom in spectacular abundance.

Elizabeth Meath Baker from the Abbey says, "We are absolutely delighted with the incredible turnout for this year’s Snowdrop Charity Day.

It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the beauty of the grounds while supporting such an important local charity."

Nicola Ellis, CEO at Tapping House adds, "We are so grateful to Walsingham Abbey and everyone who came along to support the Snowdrop Charity Day. The generosity shown by the community truly makes a difference.

"With the rising costs of delivering specialist hospice care, events like this are essential in helping us to continue to provide free, compassionate care to patients and support to their families when they need it most."

The day raised more than 12 thousand pounds.

Tapping House provides care, comfort and compassion to adults living with life-limiting illnesses, and support for their carers, families and friends.
