Coastal Art Exhibition to support chalk meadow restoration in Norfolk

The Garage Studio Art Gallery in Great Ringstead, Norfolk, is thrilled to announce the upcoming COASTLINE ART SHOW which will be held at Ringstead Village Hall from June 22nd to June 30th. This unique exhibition features the works of 12 professional artists who have beautifully captured the stunning coast from King’s Lynn to Cromer. The exhibition not only celebrates the beauty of North Norfolk’s coastline but also supports a crucial environmental initiative: the restoration of a chalk meadow in Norfolk.

The exhibition aims to promote the gallery which does not take a profit and instead donates its commission to the Peddars Meadow and the `Acre per Village’ Initiative. This initiative aims to de-cultivate land and restore it for the benefit of declining pollinators, creating vital spaces for nature to thrive.

Jake Fiennes, author and director of conservation at the Holkham Estate, is supporting the exhibition and will be the guest of honour on the opening night.

He said: “It's a real pleasure and an honour to support this wonderful community project bringing together art and nature.

“Whether preserving our North Norfolk landscape in paint or pastel to bring memories to our living rooms, knowing that all commission goes to making space for nature in the form of a chalk meadow, which I look forward to visiting following the private view.”
