Borough Council's handling of KLIC ends up in the pages of Private Eye

In February this year Town and Around published that: 'there were "many weaknesses" in the Borough’s Council’s handling of KLIC says all-party report.' https://townandaround.net/news/report-includes-alice-in-wonderland-accounting-claims-councillor

Councillors voted to set up an external review which was led by Alison Lowton into the King's Lynn Innovation Centre (KLIC) after £2.75 million in loans was not repaid by the operators.

In June Alison Lowton concluded that:

"The council has a very good and comprehensive understanding of what went wrong.

"I cannot see that any useful purpose would be served by a further investigation by me or any other independent investigator."

The story has not gone away however, and Private Eye has it in issue number 1525.
