This summer, staff at Lynn Museum are excited to present a series of four drop-in event days for families.
On 3rd August explore the world of a local Celtic tribe called the Iceni, as you meet the warriors and prepare for battle against the Romans.
On 10th August journey back to the thriving medieval port town of Bishop’s Lynn to discover how people lived, worked, and traded in West Norfolk.
Thursday 17th August will see the colourful world of the Victorian fairground come alive. Learn about King’s Lynn’s famous ride engineer Frederick Savage, discover how carousels are made, and explore historic games.
Finally, on Thursday 24th August, the Second World War comes to Lynn Museum. From childhood games to real air raid equipment, discover what life was like for people on the Home Front in wartime Norfolk.
In addition to these events, Lynn Museum will also be hosting the Summer Trails Challenge. Throughout the summer there will be seven different themed museum trails, with a small prize for all who complete one, and a bonus prize on offer for visitors who take on the challenge of completing four or more of the trails.
