The Mayor of Hunstanton Cllr Tony Bishopp is delighted to be launching a Christmas themed Children’s Recycling Poster Competition!
Children are being asked to design a Christmas themed recycling poster that encourages families within the town to recycle more over the festive season.
Ideas include drawing a Christmas scene or Santa Claus in his grotto, with the poster illustrating any items that should be recycled at this time of year.
Children can really get creative by drawing, painting or sticking items together to create a fantastic poster that emphasises the importance of recycling items such as plastic and cardboard packaging, wrapping paper, cards and real Christmas trees over the holiday period.
This competition will encourage children and their parents to think about waste, the environment and what items can be recycled at a time of year when the amount of landfilled waste usually increases. “Recycling is so important, it turns old things into new things", says Mayor Tony Bishopp.
