Street art in Kings Lynn isn't by the world-famous anonymous artist
West Norfolk Council installed a protective screen in case it was a legitimate Banksy - and there was a security guard nearby at one point.
But the street artist’s press office says, “This work is not by the artist Banksy. Sorry to disappoint you on this occasion.”
Council employees came across the piece on doors at the back of The Globe pub in Ferry Street yesterday morning - located near to the 15th Century Guildhall where William Shakespeare is said to have performed, and depicts the playwright spray‑painting the wall.

Had it been the real thing, some art experts estimated it could have been worth millions.
People have had mixed opinions on social media, Bythee wasn't fooled, saying, 'It's not on Banksy's official feed - so it's likely a homage.' Clarice Keady writing, 'Very good even if it’s not Banksy'.
The true identity of the artist remains a mystery. I wonder what they think of all this coverage?!
