Back home and loving it!

Dersingham’s popular local, The Coach and Horses, has new landlords in Tony and Chris Haughey and they opened the doors for the first time last night.

T&A called in to say hello and learned that it’s a return home for Chris who is originally from Snettisham and whose parents still live in the village. She also has a brother in Dersingham.

Both are chefs, and the couple have just sold their restaurant, The Olive in Market Rasen, where they specialised in Spanish Tapas and Mediterranean food.

Tony said: “We will continue the tradition of the Coach and Horses by being a community hub – a pub with kitchen and rooms.

“We’ve been in the hospitality business for over twenty years and are looking forward to welcoming regulars and newcomers to come for a drink and a meal with us, and from December we’ll have budget friendly en-suite rooms available too.”
