Norfolk Care Awards 2019 Extra Hands

There were celebrations on 21st February when award-winning care company Extra Hands was highly commended in another prestigious title.

The Norfolk Care Awards were presented at a black-tie event at Sprowston Manor which was hosted by the Rev Richard Coles, presenter and former member of pop group The Communards.

Extra Hands was awarded the commendation in the Excellence in Delivering Dementia Care category and adds to previous awards from the annual event which celebrates the very best in the care industry across the county.

“We are thrilled to have won another Norfolk Care Award and it reflects the hard work, caring and professionalism of the whole team at Extra Hands. Our staff are a credit and we take great pride in the success and accolades they achieve,” said director Hazel Evans.

There were a record number of nominations for the awards this year and the judges had a tough time drawing-up a shortlist of candidates across a range of categories to attend the finals night.

This is the fifth award claimed by Extra Hands at the county awards and last year Hazel was presented with the Harold Bodmer Outstanding Achievement Award.

The company was also a finalist in the Promoting Dignity and Respect in Everyday Life section and has previously won the Excellence in Person Centred Care and Support category.
