A149 at Old Hunstanton to remain CLOSED for another week

More damage than at first thought found during works to the bridge over the river Hun.

A message from the Highways Engineers reads:

I am afraid that we are having to extend the road closure at Hunstanton Bridge for another week (A149 Old Hunstanton Road) until Friday 12^th November. 

This extension of the existing road closure is due to more significant damage to the bridge being found. Delays due to the bad weather and finding newts onsite have also impacted on us not meeting our planned deadline.

We have our gang in over the weekend (Saturday 6^th and Sunday 7^th November) to help minimise disruption and try to push to get the work completed as soon as possible. I understand this is going to frustrate the public and I can only apologise for the delay.
