His Majesty clapped and cheered on runners early Saturday morning
"It was a huge buzz for the whole parkrun for him to be there," Malcolm Senior tells me, who volunteers at the event.
"The King was very upbeat about it all, clapping and cheering people along."
The event's organised with Move Against Cancer’s 5K Your Way group, and takes place on the last Saturday of every month, encouraging anyone impacted by cancer to walk, jog, run, or volunteer.
His Majesty joined the charity's ambassador Sarah Byatt, as those taking part completed their first lap.

It's the second year in a row Charles has surprised the Sandringham runners ahead of World Cancer Day, the King's been receiving cancer treatment as an outpatient since early 2024.
Organisers of the event say they have been left 'speechless again', posting on social media, "A heartfelt thank you to His Majesty The King for greeting us on the first lap of Sandringham parkrun in the beautiful setting of the Sandringham Estate."

The run's volunteers
"Those running by maybe didn't realise," Malcolm continues, "But for those that were walking, people stopped and talked to him, he's very open.
"To give his time when he's got lots of other things on, it's pretty unbelievable."
