The way we shop has changed over recent years with discerning shoppers eschewing the larger shopping centres in favour of interesting rural oases that have been popping up around the country.

Always best with a core (pardon the pun) business, Drove Orchards, on the A149 at Thornham is an example of an outstanding site with a collection of interesting and exciting businesses to tempt shoppers.

Nippers of Norfolk is the newest childrenswear shop to open at Drove Orchards - and it is beautiful!

With toys and clothes for babies and children up to twelve, this exciting store is run by friends Charlotte and Torie who have six children between them ranging from one to twelve so they know a bit about clothing youngsters.

The ladies met at the school gate and have children in the same classes, but that’s not all, they are both from the Fens and their fathers are farming neighbours.

The business has an easy to navigate website too and you can order online at: nippersofnorfolk.co.uk

The range of clothes, toys and accessories is impressive and includes some very well known brands including Noa Noa, Deux Lapins, Toffee Moon, Turtledove London and 3 Sprouts amongst many others.

Nippers of Norfolk has had a great start, and when we visited Charlotte was re-ordering stock from toy supplier Djeco after just 10 days trading!

Drove Orchards also welcomed three other new businesses to the site this month making it possibly the most exciting and diverse retail oasis on the Norfolk Coast.
