With 252 finishers and 32 volunteers the Sandringham Estate was filled people enjoying the benefits of being active and part of the community.
The weather made for a spooky Halloween theme and eerie sounds could be heard throughout the woodland as Witches, Ghouls, Zombies, Beetlejuice, Frankenstein, Spiders, Skeletons and monstersimmerged from nowhere to volunteer, walk or run this morning spooky course.
Parkrun cannot take place without volunteers so a HUGE thank you to all of the volunteers. A big welcome and thank you to the Breakfast Club, Sheringham who took on many of the volunteer roles this morning. If you would like to help, please contact Sandringham parkrun via email: sandringham@parkrun.com or come and sign up on Saturday morning.
Sandringham parkrun no. 155 welcomed “5k Your Way Move Against Cancer” and it was marvellous to see walkers and runners for this group. Move Charity is a supportive community that inspires and empowers people impacted by cancer, including their family, friends and healthcare professionals, to live an active and fulfilling lifestyle. Meet at Sandringham parkrun the last Saturday of every month to rum, walk or just for coffee and cake (the cakes were fiendishly good) and admire the beautiful surroundings but wrap up warm.
With 252 finishers and 32 volunteers the Estate was filled people enjoying the benefits of being active and part of the community. First finisher was Nick MORRISON, from Holland Sports AC a First Timer to Sandringham, in a time of 18:40, first lady was Anna Barrett, with a new PB, in a time of 22:49. We had 45 First Timers to Sandringham including 8 First Timers to parkrun and 43 participants achieved a PB (perhaps they were being chased). Milestones were achieved by: Bob Carrick - 25th parkrun and Claire Blackburn - 50th volunteering. Well done to all finishers see you all next week.
